Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Niño. The dance moves two steps forward and one step backward to the sound of the drums. This resembles the current (Sulog) of what was then known as Cebu's Pahina River. Thus, in Cebuano, they say it's Sinulog. read more

- Santa Cruzan (Last week of May) - Catch a colorful parade of celebrities and society personalities dressed in Filipiniana-inspired gowns by Cebu designers. By tradition, the Reyna Elena, as major sponsor of the celebration, leads the parade of “princesses” to culminate a nine-day period of prayers to the Virgin Mary. This festival grew out of catholic devotion to Mary, to whom the month of May is dedicated.

2nd National Mango Congress
& 3rd Cebu Mango Festival
- A project of the Visayan Chamber of Mango Industries, Inc. and the Rotary Club of Cebu-Guadalupe, this festival helps create awareness of techniques, processes and the economic opportunities mango farming offers. In celebration, various activities are lined-up, such as symposiums, seminars, food fairs, float parade, open show dance competition "Mango Tango" and bingo.
