| The Miss Cebu 2012 Pageant requires each contestant to adopt a cause. This should stem from an ideal that is important to her or a cause that she supports. Each finalist should select an area of interest to herself and to our community. It should be an issue that has and continues to make a difference in people's lives. Although the finalists will most likely have experience on a certain level, she should research, understand, and have thought about her platform and its impact on the community on the basis of her present capacity and capabilities. | ||

The One-on-One Interview(Finalists' projection of personality attributes and communication skills up close) |
|
The seven (7) minute interview is designed to give the judges an opportunity to learn as much as possible about the contestant – her qualities and attributes to be Miss Cebu 2012, her commitment to advance herself as a role model, her ability to express and distinguish her beliefs, her ability to express herself and her ability to fulfill the job responsibilities of Miss Cebu 2012.
The judges will look for overall "first impression," sense of accomplishments and a confident, commanding presence. They will evaluate each contestant's personality, personal appearance and attractiveness. They will look for validated opinions and responses as well as communication competencies. Questions may deal with the contestant's "platform" issue, community service, world affairs, ambitions and goals, and other personal interests as presented on their fact sheet, their educational and career goals, their opinions on current events and social issues, and their interests, hobbies and extracurricular activities. Questions should focus on her ability to articulate her personality, her opinions, and her aspirations. They should be designed to produce high-value information and allow her to display the depth of her convictions and expanse of her knowledge. This phase of competition is also an opportunity for the contestant to introduce a platform of community service--a chosen issue of importance to herself and to society—one in which she shows a true passion. This will acknowledge her commitment to realizing her potential as role model, leader, and spokesperson. |

Pageant Night(Finalists' projection of personality and impact "across the footlights") |
| Judging on pageant night is that phase of the competition designed to enable the contestant to project both her personality and beauty "across the footlights". The contestant's total look and overall impact is considered as she goes through the various phases of the competition on stage, in front of an audience. The judges will again look for an overall "first impression," sense of confidence, stage presence and personality. Carriage and grace, beauty and sense of attractiveness will also be considered. What is put to the test here is the finalists' ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances, perform under pressure, put others at ease in "tough" situations and to maintain dignity, poise and composure in public situations. |
| 1.) | Each judge will be given a folio containing photographs (1 close-up and 1 full-shot) of each of the twelve finalists as well as personal information reprinted from the finalists' application forms.
